The Nalanda Award is presented to individuals or organizations in recognition of their outstanding achievements, invaluable services and contribution to the Buddha-Sāsana. It is an honorary award which comes with a Certificate of Meritorious Service, an Award Citation, and a plaque bearing the recipient’s name. Although the Award does not come with a monetary prize, its value is beyond that as it amounts to peer recognition and felicitation for a deed well-done, and a life well-lived.

This year, four individuals who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields have been selected for the Nalanda Awards. The Award Recipients were selected by the Senate and Faculty of Nalanda Institute based on merit.
