1,000 bags gifted in two weeks!
After the bustle of Family Fun Fair, Nalanda members, Youths, and Dhamma School parents and students continued to throng Nalanda Centre in packing and distributing the Carebags to different care homes.
From the start of the Family Fun Fair, volunteers have been joyfully preparing and gifting over 1000 ‘Care bags’ at the Fair as well as delivering them to various welfare homes. Donated by many kind supporters who wanted to both support holistic education as well as the needy, the bags were filled with necessities such as food and clothes as well as much ‘metta’!
The care bags were personally gifted to residents of welfare homes including Rumah Orang Tua Seri Kembangan, BRDB Rotary Children’s Residence, Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Jian An Malaysia and Centre for Mon Refugees in the Klang Valley, as well as to the Sivananda Home in Kuala Kubu Bahru, and Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Lagenda in Klang.

Receiving the gifts with much excitement, the children and elderly expressed their gratitude to so many nameless, faceless and selfless donors.
