Today marks the first anniversary of the passing of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. His Majesty was the longest-reigning monarch in the world at the time of his death last October at age 88. He is still beloved and sorely missed by Thai people everywhere, with 12.7 million visitors having paid respects to his remains at the Grand Palace in Bangkok.
Nalanda Malaysia join our Thai friends in paying tribute to a righteous Buddhist monarch, who had been an inspiration and a pillar of strength for the country and people he led over seven decades. May His Majesty rest in peace, and attain at the soonest time, the noblest Nibbānic bliss.
