6 weeks of Mettā meditation

6 weeks of Mettā meditation

The 6-week meditation period begins on 20 May, and ends of 30 June 2018.

Nalanda Youth Centre is grateful to Bro.Tan for guiding us in the “Meditation Day” programme on 19 May, where 183 youths aged 16 to 29 spent a wholesome day learning about Mettā (Loving-kindness) and practising it together.

Starting today, all participants of the programme are encouraged to continuously cultivate Mettā for the next 6 weeks, gradually developing loving-kindness towards oneself; towards a respected person; a friendly person; a neutral person; a hostile person; and finally, towards all beings.

We also wish to invite you back to Nalanda Centre for our Mettā Bhāvanā REVISION DAY on Sunday, 3 June; and Mettā Bhāvanā REUNION DAY on Sunday, 1 July 2018.

Have a joyful time practising this essential quality of Mettā that leads to the overcoming of anger and ill-will.  May all beings be calm and peaceful; be free from harm and danger, and be free from suffering.  May all beings be well and happy always!  Sadhu.
