60 days to Officiating Ceremony of NEO Centre KL

Nalanda Education & Outreach (NEO) Centre Kuala Lumpur is now at 95% construction completion.  Whilst interiors have started to be fitted-in over the past weeks, members and volunteers have also been carrying out daily chanting there, as well as prepare the premise to welcome guests for its Officiating Ceremony on Sunday, 11 December 2022.

Just this Monday 10 October, volunteers planted a tree and shrubs on the open-air roof annex to create a pleasant ambience of greenery and a cooling effect on the building.  Everyone felt grateful and rejoiced in being able to gather at the Centre once again after almost two years.

On Monday 10 October, members and devotees gathered for chanting and tree planting at NEO Centre KL

Sis. Nandini advised us to be watchful of our thoughts because they can run wild even if we seem to be calm and quiet externally.

Bro. Yong Keok Fatt, Chairman of the KL Branch, thanked everyone for coming to support as they prepared for the Officiating Ceremony.

Sis. Buddhini Tan, President of the Society, expressed her joy at the progress made which will benefit more people in the community around the Centre.

Join us to send thoughts of loving-kindness to the contractors and workers for the smooth and safe completion of the project.  If you would like to contribute or support this project, we invite you to click here to find out more.  Thank you.

The ‘Plumeria’ tree, more commonly known as frangipani was planted at the roof annex.

Verses of blessings were chanted as devotees watered the plants.

A warm round of applause for everyone who had worked well together.

We look forward to the Officiating Ceremony of the new Centre, and to the resumption of wholesome programmes there.
