A fruitful day of Dhamma Learning

A fruitful day of Dhamma Learning

Nalanda Dharma School Facilitators gathered at Nalanda House to relearn the ‘Mangala Sutta’.

On Saturday 12 April, Nalanda Dharma School Facilitators explored the ‘Mangala Sutta’ – the discourse on 38 supreme blessings expounded by the Buddha.  “To live at a suitable place; to cherish wife and children, to have a peaceful occupation, and to abstain from unwholesome states” are but a few blessings listed in this enlightening discourse.

Facilitators enjoyed a fun day learning the ‘Mangala Sutta’, led by Sis. Sunanda Ong, Director of Nalanda Dharma School.  Activities for the day included Dhamma sharing amongst Facilitators and a role-playing exercise.

Nalanda believes in developing a team of dedicated teachers to provide a more holistic approach to educating our Dharma School students.  Hence many learning programmes are scheduled throughout the year for teachers to improve their Dhamma knowledge and practical teaching skills.  Sadhu anumodana.

Nalanda believes that teachers and facilitators have to constantly improve ourselves in order to become more effective educators.
