On Sunday 7 September, Nalanda Kuala Lumpur Branch organized a Mid-Autumn Festival gathering which saw a good turnout of parents and children from the Junior Dharma School.  The objective of this gathering was to foster bonding and to promote Buddhist values and culture.  Besides, the Branch Committee took this opportunity to thank all devotees and members for their contribution in the recent Nalanda Family Fun Fair held on 24 August.

Sis. Sunanda Ong was invited for the Dhamma sharing to start off the evening.  Devotees also brought food for a sumptuous potluck dinner.  After dinner, everyone went outdoors for the ‘lantern walk’ around NEO Centre Happy Garden while reciting the ‘Jayamangala Gathā.  The colourful ‘lanterns’ were made by Junior Dharma School students using recyclable items such as food boxes, paper and cardboard.

The evening ended with blessings for all the students who will be sitting for their upcoming examinations, and the sharing of merits with all beings.  It was indeed a joyful, meaningful, and well-spent evening at NEO Centre Happy Garden!

Blessings for all students sitting for their upcoming examinations, and sharing of merits with all beings.
