On Saturday 7 February, Nalanda’s monthly ‘Pindacāra’ (alms-around) Programme was held for the first time in 2015 at Sri Petaling and Happy Garden markets. Volunteers and devotees gathered at Nalanda Education & Outreach (NEO) Centre Kuala Lumpur at 7.00am to start the day with Pūja and chanting before proceeding to the nearby Sri Petaling market at 8.30am and subsequently, to Happy Garden market at 9.30am.  The ‘Pindacāra’ was carried out successfully with devotees and members of the public waiting in line for the arrival of the three venerable monks to offer cooked food.

Performing meritorious deeds from young. Sadhu!

Director of Nalanda Centre, Sis. Nandini conducted a mandarin Dhamma sharing session with a timely reminder on the importance to prepare ourselves spiritually for the forthcoming Chinese New Year celebration.  We were encouraged to pay respect, express our gratitude to our parents and elders; as well as to seek forgiveness for our shortcomings.

Sis. Nandini reminding everyone to celebrate the Chinese New Year in moderation.

We thank the venerable monks from Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, Sentul and all devotees and volunteers for participating in this meaningful programme.  May the merits gained be shared with all beings.  Sadhu anumodana!

NOTE :
There will be no Pindacāra programme at Seri Kembangan on Saturday, 21 February 2015. Wishing all a joyful and fulfilling Chinese New Year!
We welcome everyone to join us in the next alms-round on Saturday, 7 March 2015 at Sri Petaling and Happy Garden markets.  Please bring along your family and friends to participate in this wholesome activity.  Thank you and metta.
