‘Bodhi Pūja’ at Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, Sentul

Special ‘Bodhi Pūja’ was offered in honour of Venerable Sri Pandit Henepola Gunaratana Nāyaka Thero.

On Tuesday 10 February, a team of Nalandians participated in a ‘Bodhi Pūja’ at the Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, Sentul.  This special ‘Bodhi Pūja’ was offered in honour of Venerable Sri Pandit Henepola Gunaratana Nāyaka Thero, who underwent an eye surgery recently.

With deep faith and devotion, Nalandians and friends led by Venerable Wimala Shantha chanted ‘parittas’ to invoke the blessings for Ven. Gunaratana’s speedy recovery.

Ven. Wimala Shantha led everyone in reciting ‘parittas’ to invoke blessings for Ven. Gunaratana’s speedy recovery from an eye operation.

Ven. Henepola Gunaratana (fondly known as ‘Bhante G’) is the founding Abbot of Bhāvanā Society in West Virginia, the United States. His reverence had been to Nalanda several times to share his vast knowledge and deep meditation experience with Malaysian devotees.

Nalanda Founder Bro. Tan and President Bro. Lee led the Nalandian team to offer thanks to Ven. Wimala Shantha for leading the ‘Bodhi Pūja’.

We wish Ven. Gunaratana a smooth and complete recovery; and may his reverence be blessed with good health and long life to serve the Buddha-Sāsanā for years to come.  Sotthi.
