Pustaka Nalanda’s objective is to make available quality reading materials to promote the learning, study, practice and understanding of Buddha’s teachings.
In line with this, Pustaka Nalanda brings you a new programme – the Monthly Dhamma Discussion, which is held every 2nd Friday of the month over lunch break. This programme is suitable for university students, working adults, retirees and home-makers alike. Through this programme, we introduce Buddhist teachings especially to those who are relatively new to Buddhism, and would like to know more about the sublime teachings which serve as antidote to many human problems. Participants will surely benefit from this programme, which includes a short multi-media presentation on the monthly topic, followed by general discussions and a Q&A session.
The Monthly Dhamma Discussions are led by Bro. Ananda Fong, who is actively involved in Dhamma propagation for over 20 years. He is also the Director of Pustaka Nalanda. Our first Dhamma Discussion in January 2012 was ‘Getting to Know the Buddha’; and the second one in February was ’What Happiness Is’. Both sessions were very well received with over thirty participants on average. We anticipate a bigger turnout for the coming months.
