Joyfully cultivating Generosity

Joyfully cultivating Generosity

Devotees lining the ‘Pindacāra’ route and offering food to the monks with joy.

On Saturday 18 April, the ‘Pindacāra’ (monks going on alms-round) at Seri Kembangan market was joyfully held as the public offered food to the venerable monks with devotion.  After the alms-round, the three venerable monks from Sentul Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple performed blessings for devotees to conclude the morning programme.

The ‘Pindacāra’ Programme is not just about offering food; it is a platform to engage the public and provide them with essential educational materials.

An Information Counter was set up at the market to introduce useful reading materials to the public.

We thank the venerable monks for their support in this monthly ‘Pindacāra’ Programme, as well as to all volunteers and devotees for your active participation.  It is indeed inspiring to see that the monthly educational Pindacāra’  has become a platform for the public to experience joy and happiness through wholesome acts of giving.  May we continue to grow spiritually with this generous practice.  Sadhu anumodana!

We deeply appreciate the venerable Sangha Members' strong support for this educational programme.

NOTICE

The next ‘Pindacāra’  will be held on Sunday, 3 May (Wesak ‘Buddha Day’) around Nalanda Centre in Taman Sri Serdang, starting at 7.00 am.  Everyone is welcome to offer alms on this sacred and blessed occasion celebrating the Buddha’s Enlightenment.
