Nalanda Buddhist Society would like to thank everyone who have contributed to the Wesak Programme!

Nalanda Buddhist Society Management and members would like to thank all volunteers, benefactors, donors, visitors, and well-wishers for a marvelous Wesak ‘Buddha Day’ Observance! Your selfless service, support and dedication ensured that the 3-day programme was faithfully and successfully carried out.

Fortuitously, Wesak Day this year coincided with 3 other important events – Nalanda’s 12th Anniversary celebrations, the Opening of Nalanda Centre Annex Building, and the 3rd National Members’ Convention.  It was the heaviest of tasks to carry out all these major events simultaneously!  But at the end of the day, the Nalandian spirit of commitment to service, selflessness, discipline, unity, and working in harmony made it all possible!

Our special thanks to this year’s Wesak Observance Organising Team, headed by Sis. Sunanda Ong, for their excellent programme arrangement.  The meaningful activities and insightful Dhamma teachings brought immense joy and inspiration to all participants and devotees.

We would like to thank our members from the 3 branches in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, and Sungai Petani for ‘coming home’ to jointly celebrate this year’s Wesak.   We also thank our kalyana mittā from Buddhist Fellowship Singapore, Firefly Mission, sister Buddhist organisations, and devotees from all over Malaysia for joining us in observing this sacred and auspicious spiritual occasion.

Let us dedicate the merits of our wholesome participation in Wesak activities to the victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal, as well as to all beings everywhere.  May all beings be liberated from suffering; may they be well, happy, and peaceful!  Sadhu anumodana.
