Today marks the 14th anniversary of the terrorist bombing of New York, which killed thousands of innocent civilians, and leaving a damning scar in the history of humanity.  We shall never forget our failings that day as a human race – of how a highly-intelligent species can be driven to such ignorance, intolerance and bigotry.  More importantly, we should endeavour to prevent a repetition of this cowardly act of cruelty.

The world should be taught a culture of inclusiveness from young.  As a species, we can gradually evolve to embrace unity in diversity – through dialogues to achieve understanding and acceptance of differences.  We can evolve to be one race – the human race.  We can learn to belong to one faith – compassion.

Let us pray that Peace shall prevail in every heart.  May all beings be free from suffering.
