On Saturday 19 September, the monthly educational ‘Pindacāra’ programme (monks going on alms-round) was joyfully held at Seri Kembangan market. Our friendly “People Engagement” team was actively engaging with traders and devotees at the market. Leaflets explaining what ‘Pindacāra’ was about were also distributed to on-lookers.
Two venerable monks from Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, Sentul were invited to take part in the alms-round. Many devotees waited patiently for the arrival of the venerable bhikkhus (monks) along the ‘Pindacāra’ route to offer them cooked food. The venerable monks conducted blessing for devotees and volunteers to conclude the alms-round.
We thank the venerable monks, volunteers and devotees for your support and participation in this wholesome activity. May the merits accrued be shared with all beings. Sadhu anumodana!
