Terengganu Dhammaduta Tour

Terengganu Dhammaduta Tour

The Buddhist Flag flies in Terengganu.

Fresh from visits to Java and North Sulawesi, the indefatigable Bro.Tan has again embarked on another 5-day Dhammaduta Tour to Terengganu upon the invitation of Gandharama Vihara and the Terengganu Buddhist Association, from 19 to 23 July.

Bro.Tan was accompanied by Bro. Charlie Teng and Bro. Willie Cheah.  En route, Bro.Tan visited the Pahang Buddhist Association and Kuantan Buddhist Association.  They were warmly received by the local Buddhist leaders and briefed on the activities and development of Buddha-Sasana in Pahang.

Bro.Tan and Nalandians welcomed by officers of Pahang BA and Kuantan BA.

In Kuala Terengganu, Bro.Tan delivered a talk at Terengganu Buddhist Association (TBA) on 19 July.  The next 3 days, he conducted a Metta Sutta Workshop at Kenyir Lake Resort for 52 participants from all over Terengganu, organized by Gandharama Vihara.  Nalanda President Bro. Lee Kong Foo and his wife, Bro. Willie, Bro. Charlie and Sis. Joanne Tan also participated in the workshop.

Bro. Lee together with other Nalandians were also invited by Mr. Wong Choon Kheng (President) to visit the Terengganu Buddhist Association premises and their well-equipped Bodhi Library.  They also made courtesy calls at Gandharama Vihara, Bodhi Vihara, and Suttarama Buddhist Centre.

We humbly thank our Dhamma friends in Terengganu and Pahang for their warm hospitality and kind sharings, which allowed Nalandians to learn so much about Dhamma propagation in the East Coast.  May the Dhamma flourish everywhere for the benefit of the many!  Sadhu anumodana!

Bro.Tan spoke about the purpose of Dhamma practice - it is not enough to only gain knowledge, but to effect personal transformation!

TBA has a beautifully-designed and well-equipped library within its large premises.
