75 children attending a holiday camp at Nalanda Centre had a pleasant surprise today when Ven. Sanghasena Maha Thero came to visit them. Children are close to Ven. Sanghasena’s heart as he has been working tirelessly for many years to provide education and accommodation to the underprivileged in Ladakh, India.
In the light of venerable’s humanitarian work, there was a request for him to give a Dhamma talk on ‘Caring and Sharing’ to the campers. Ven. Sanghasena captured their attention with interesting stories underlying his message of love and compassion.
Ven. Sanghasena said that people everywhere are essentially the same. As we all share the same planet, we should always care for and love others as we do our own family. If we cared about the welfare of others, there would be no war and fighting in the world, and we would live happily and peacefully.
The children appreciated venerable‘s Dhamma sharing and we thank him for his talk. Sadhu anumodana.
