Nalanda officers visited Tong Sim Senior Citizens’ Care Centre on 2 July to offer food and other essentials (foreground) to the home.

On 2 July and 16 July, Nalanda officers paid separate visits to Tong Sim Senior Citizens’ Care Centre and Ci Hang Chempaka Welfare Association respectively.  They were at the two welfare homes to deliver food items such as rice, cooking oil, dried food, and vegetables which were kindly sponsored by devotees.  Nalanda President Sis. Evelyn who led the visits also offered the homes Nalanda ‘Family Fun Fair’ coupons for them to purchase other necessities at the Fair.

The Tong Sim Senior Citizens’ Care Centre located near Salak Selatan, Kuala Lumpur cares for fifty-five senior citizens who have no relatives or dependencies.  Some residents are bed-ridden and in need of constant attention.

On 16 July, Nalandians delivered food and necessities to Ci Hang Chempaka Welfare Association in Kampung Subang, Selangor.

Ci Hang Chempaka Welfare Association operates a well-managed senior citizens home in Kampung Subang with thirty-seven residents, not far from Subang Airport in Selangor.  The association was established in 1986 to provide care for the aged, disabled, and sick.  Nalanda members often deliver food to the home and to provide them with whatever help we can.
