Omran Daqneesh; aged 5. Lived in Aleppo, Syria. His home was bombed in an airstrike.

At 5 years old, most little children around the world would be happily attending kindergarten and safely protected by their families; not living in fear every day of being killed.

But Omran Daqneesh lives in Syria, which has been in a civil war for 5 years.  Many cities there have been destroyed, and around 450,000 people are estimated to have lost their lives.

Omran was seen in this photograph sitting in an ambulance waiting for medical attention.  Just hours earlier, his home in Aleppo was bombed by airstrikes.  It took an hour to dig him out of the rubble.  His face was covered in blood, but doctors reportedly said he did not cry at all.  He just sat there, too shocked to speak…

Has the world forgotten Syria?  The Syrian regime and rebel groups, as well as leaders of the world should all look at this little boy’s face, and think of the tens of thousands that are like him, living in terror and anguish.  If you have any conscience, stop this senseless war immediately!
