Nalanda Buddhist Society is planning to print three Dhamma booklets authored by the late Ajahn Buddhadāsa (1906-1993) – a revered teacher in the Thai forest tradition. He was a famous meditation teacher and thinker who attracted many local and Western disciples to his monastery – Suan Mokkh in Chaiya, Southern Thailand – to learn and practise Dhamma.
The three booklets to be printed are: “Kamma in Buddhism”, “Living in the Present”, and “Getting Started in Mindfulness with Breathing”. We intend to print 12,000 copies altogether to be freely distributed throughout Malaysia this May, in conjunction with Wesak Day.
Sponsorship of any amount is welcome for printing the books. Donors may bank in or transfer funds to “Nalanda Buddhist Society” Maybank Account: 5121-4703-9185. Contributions can be made from today until next Sunday, 7 May.
After banking in your donation, kindly e-mail to info@nalanda.org.my or call Nalanda’s office at 03-8938-1500 to notify us. We would want to issue an official receipt and send it to you to acknowledge your sponsorship.
Customarily, Nalanda does not practise printing the names of donors in the sponsored books. We encourage sponsors to rejoice in their meritorious deeds, and be content to remain “nameless” and “selfless”. “The gift of Dhamma excels all gifts!” Let us honour the Buddha this Wesak Day by sharing His Teachings through the publication of these insightful booklets! Thank you.
