Nalanda founder Bro. Tan recently visited the Saujana Hotel and Resort, venue for the upcoming WACANA 2017 Buddhist Conference, to have a look at the facilities there.  He was joined by several members of the Organising Team, including Bro. K. C. Tan, Deputy President of the Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia.

The prupose of the visit was to familiarise with the layout and facilities at the venue.

Staff members of Saujana Hotel were on hand to provide information to the Organising Team.

The visitors spent 45 minutes touring the main hall and seminar rooms to familiarise with the layout, and to plan for smoother flow of human traffic during the Conference.  Bro. Tan gave several suggestions to the Organising Team to enhance the experience of Conference participants, including setting up an exhibition space at the foyer to showcase Buddhist education.

WACANA 2017 is the fifth edition of the popular gathering of prominent Sangha members and laity to discuss issues concerning Buddhism in Malaysia.  This year’s WACANA is jointly organised by Nalanda Institute and the Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia.

We look forward to welcoming 600 participants and volunteers to this promising Conference featuring keynote presentations on the essential “Buddha Word”, on 1 July, at the Saujana Hotel in Subang, Selangor.
