Dhamma camps in Kedah and Kelantan

The gathering of teenagers and teachers at Wat Prachumthat in Tumpat, Kelantan.

8 December saw the start of two simultaneous teenagers’ learning camps organised by Nalanda Dhamma School – one at NEO Centre Sungai Petani in Kedah; and another at Wat Prachumthat Chanaram in Tumpat, Kelantan.

Nalanda Dhamma School Director Sis. Sunanda is leading the camp in Kedah with 45 facilitators and students, which is themed “Right Friendship”.  Meanwhile, Director of Volunteer Centre Sis. Buddhini is leading the “Mangala Sutta” camp in Kelantan with 130 participants and volunteers.

Both camps aim to impart right values to young Buddhists which are critical to their mental and spiritual well-being and holistic development.  They are part of Nalanda Dhamma School’s year-end holiday programmes for students to learn about Dhamma, so that they can apply it in their daily lives.

115 teenagers from all over Kelantan are participating in the current 4-day camp.

Besides interesting sharing sessions, the youths certainly enjoy the outdoor learning sessions and group games.  We wish all participants enjoyable and memorable 4 days learning the Dhamma!  Sadhu.
