Nalanda Centre is honoured to host Venerable Ajahn Chandako from New Zealand on Tuesday, 17 April for a Dhamma talk, starting at 8.00pm. This will be his second visit to Sri Serdang in as many years.
Ajahn Chandako was ordained a ‘bhikkhu’ in 1990, in the lineage of Ven. Ajahn Chah of the Thai Forest Tradition. He received training at Wat Pah Nanachat for five years after his ordination. He then began wandering, seeking out forest meditation masters, and practising under their guidance.
Ajahn Chandako has translated many of the teachings that he received in Thai into English; he has also authored many books and articles. In 2004, Ajahn Chandako established Vimutti Buddhist Monastery near Auckland, New Zealand, where he has resided since.
