‘Sangha Day’ is celebrated in November annually at Nalanda to express gratitude and support for the Sangha (monastic community) by offering robes and other requisites to monks and nuns. This is an important occasion for Buddhists to honour the virtues and contributions of the monastic community who strive diligently to bring the Buddha’s teaching for the benefit of mankind.
We welcome you together with your family and friends to participate in this noble observance of ‘Sangha Day’ on Sunday 10 November, at Nalanda Education & Outreach (NEO) Centre, Happy Garden, Kuala Lumpur.
The day’s programme is as follows:
09.00 am – Meditation, Offerings and Chanting
09.45 am – Dhamma Talk by Bro. Ananda Fong
10.40 am – Offering of robes and requisites
11.30 am – Sanghika Dāna – Offering of Noon meal
12.00 pm – Luncheon for Devotees
If you wish to offer robes, requisites or donate towards the Sangha Fund (for medical and educational expenses of monks and nuns), kindly call Bro. Ng at 012-273-9787 for the arrangements. All are welcome.
