Visit to Seremban Sudhamma Buddhist Society

We thank SSBS for their kind hospitality and invite all of them to visit Nalanda Centre in the near future.

On Sunday 14 August, Sis. Buddhini Tan and leaders of the Society visited Seremban Sudhamma Buddhist Society (SSBS) at their Centre in Negeri Sembilan. They were warmly welcomed by Dr Oo Swee Khoon, President of SSBS and members of the Executive Committee.

The Buddhist leaders had a fruitful discussion on the progress of their educational and community engagement work, including how they are managing the transition of Dhamma School classes from on-line to physical. We were also heartened to hear about SSBS’s plans to develop a larger centre to cater to more Dhamma learners in the state.

Nalanda leaders were received by Dr. Oo and his team at the Main Shrine of their centre.

Dr. Oo kindly brought Sis. Buddhini and team on a tour around their centre.

Sis. Buddhini sharing some of the programmes which Nalanda has run since Malaysia entered the endemic phase of Covid-19.

We extend our appreciation to Dr. Oo and his team for their gracious hosting, and wish them every success in their efforts to propagate the Buddha’s teachings for the benefit of many. Let us all continue with earnest effort to do our part for the prolongation of Buddha-Sāsana.

Members of the SSBS Exco shared updates of their facilities development, and plans for it’s utilisation.

Sis. Santi Cheang shared the challenges and opportunities with moving Nalanda Dhamma School classes back to physical classes.
