Celebrating 20 years of ‘Making Lives More Meaningful’
Two decades ago, our late Spiritual Adviser, Ven. K. Sri Dhammananda Nāyaka Thero (1918 – 2006) bestowed upon us the name “Nalanda” meaning ‘the giving of knowledge and wisdom’. It imbued upon our founding members a sense of purpose and mission to live up to the educational legacy of the ancient Nālandā Māha Vihāra in India.
With Ven. Dhammananda’s blessings and support Nalanda Buddhist Society was established on 1 May 2003. Since then, we have dedicated all that we do to making lives more meaningful. We humbly pay tribute and honour Ven. K. Sri Dhammananda by being relentless in our missionary work for the well-being and benefit of others.
