Spirited youths serve at Family Fun Fair

Nalanda Youth Centre led over 100 youths in a meaningful day of service and fellowship at the Nalanda Family Fun Fair on Sunday 13 August.  Many of the youth volunteers had happily stepped up to give their time and effort having experienced and benefitted from the educational programmes at Nalanda such as Dhamma-Living Camp, Happy Young Adults and Fellowship Undergraduate Network.

The spirit of samaggi – concord and unity – was foremost felt not simply because they adorned the same shirts, but because there was a sense of fulfilment and meaning in carrying out their duties. With joyful smiles and warm hearts, the youths put forth their best regardless of whether it was welcoming guests to the Youth Exhibition, serving at their stalls, manning the refuse bins or washing recyclables.

We would like to once again thank everyone for their support in time, effort and more importantly, care.  We invite all volunteers and supporters to the special Volunteer Appreciation session tomorrow, Sunday 20 August at Nalanda Centre.  Do come and join the Sunday Morning Service at 9am, and the appreciation session at 11.15am.  See you tomorrow.
