Today, 28 October 2023 marks the 70th birthday of the Most Venerable Bootawatte Sri Saranankara Nāyaka Thero.  An indefatigable missionary who has dedicated four decades of his life towards uplifting the spirit of social service and unity amongst Buddhists here in Malaysia, his compassionate efforts have touched the lives of many monks and laity alike.

On this auspicious occasion, Nalanda leaders and members paid tribute to Ven. Saranankara at the Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple in Sentul this morning, with much appreciation for his support to the Society and the wider Buddhist community.

We pray that his reverence is blessed with good health, long life, peace and happiness.  May all his noble missions be successful!  Happy Birthday Bhante!
