Nalanda Dhamma School 19th Anniversary

Nalanda Dhamma School 19th Anniversary

We are grateful to Ven. Saranankara for his guidance to us. Thank you Bhante!

Today, 1 January 2024 marks the 19th Anniversary of Nalanda Dhamma School.  To commemorate this special occasion, Nalanda members, facilitators and students gathered at the Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple in Sentul to pay respects to our Spiritual Advisor, Ven. Sri Saranankara Nāyaka Thero and venerable Sangha members there.

In conjunction with this anniversary, the Dhamma School humbly presented the newly launched Nalanda publication of a colouring book titled ‘Little Jewels’ to the Temple.  Ven. Saranankara commended this effort in producing a cognitive tool that fosters learning and creativity in young minds, and develops knowledge of valuable Buddhist principles and practices with the support of their parents.

On this occasion, we extend our appreciation to all former directors and facilitators of Nalanda Dhamma School, the present Director, Sis. See Hui Shien and dedicated facilitators for their unyielding care, patience and commitment in facilitating the learning of our students week in and week out, year in and year out.

We also thank all our Dhamma School parents, donors, benefactors and students who have contributed in different ways to support the operations and management of the School since its inception. May we all have the blessings and supporting conditions to continue progressing on the path to well-being and wisdom! Sadhu anumodana.

Ven. Saranankara commented that “Children will benefit when we engage with them properly, so that they can learn and develop good values.”
