On Saturday 3 February, members and volunteers gathered for the monthly Pindacāra (monks on alms-round) at OUG and Happy Garden markets. Amongst the hustle and bustle of pre-new year preparations, devotees and stall operators were eager to perform the meritorious deed of making offerings to the Sangha.
As we also prepare for the Lunar New Year, Sis. Nandini Tan gave a Dhamma sharing after the alms-round, on how harmony and unity start with ourselves. When we change our mental attitude to see the world through eyes of appreciation, we will naturally be more grateful to everyone around us. This leads to kindness and compassionate speech and actions which others also instinctively reciprocate.
We thank Nalanda KL Branch for hosting this programme for many people to learn and serve. May the good deeds of the volunteers and the community create supporting conditions for your spiritual well-being. Sadhu anumodana.
