Spend a meaningful weekend at Nalanda

This weekend, over 300 members, devotees and volunteers will be joining a host of Dhamma programmes at Nalanda.  We invite you and your loved ones to come and join us to spend a meaningful and spiritual weekend with good friends.

Programmes on Saturday, 16th March

Pindacāra at Seri Kembangan | 8.30am – 10am | Bazar Rakyat

The Pindacāra (monks of alms round) programme resumes in Seri Kembangan this Saturday at the Pasar Basah Bazar Rakyat (https://maps.app.goo.gl/qo4wjvpPrEHQ8ZUf6).  Join us at Nalanda Centre at 7.30am or meet us at Bazar Rakyat market at 8.30am.  After the alms-round, let us also together offer lunch dana at Nalanda Centre.  You may bring along cooked food and fruits to offer.

Nalanda Free School Teachers’ Meeting | 2.00pm | Nalanda Centre

Teachers and volunteers will gather in this first week of school to discuss pertinent matters to the students’ development and learning.

Launch of Family Dhamma School in JB | 2.30pm | NEO JB

We welcome registered parents and children of Family Dhamma School in Johor Bahru for their first Dhamma School session at Nalanda Education & Outreach Centre, Johor Bahru.  May you have a joyful and fruitful learning session.

Sutta Study Course at KL, JB, SP | 2.30pm | NEO KL, JB & SP

Registered participants for the ‘Sigalovada Sutta’ Study Course in Mandarin will start their first session this Saturday at the respective Nalanda branches in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Sungai Petani.

Sunday Morning Service & Dhamma talk by Bro. Benny Liow | 9am – 12pm | Nalanda Centre

The weekly service starts at 9am with meditation, offerings and chanting.  This week, let us learn with Bro. Benny Liow, in the series of Dhamma talks on ‘Living a Meaningful Life’.

Parents Induction Programme | 9am – 12pm | Nalanda Centre

Parents of our Dhamma School students are invited to join the second session of the Parents Induction Programme, to better understand how they can support their children in Dhamma learning as well as to gain an overview of the Buddhist spiritual journey.

Youth Sunday Service & Dhamma talk by Bro. Tan Siang Chye | 9am – 12pm | Nalanda Youth Centre

Youths of ages 18 to 29 are invited to join the Youth Sunday Service, to reflect and learn the Buddha’s teachings with Bro. Tan Siang Chye.  All are welcome.

Youth Members’ Day | 2pm | Nalanda Centre

We invite all registered members of Nalanda Youth Centre to attend Youth Members’ Day at 2pm this Sunday, the first gathering of the year.  We look forward to welcoming everyone back to our ‘spiritual home’.
