Since 2009, there has been a significant increase in the number of outstation devotees traveling to Nalanda Centre in Sri Serdang to attend various courses and activities. Thus, at the Members’ EGM on 13 January 2013, Nalanda Buddhist Society has decided to establish full-fledged branches outside Serdang to serve our community better.
The first two branches to be established this year are in Happy Garden (Kuala Lumpur) and Johor Bahru, based at Nalanda Outreach Centres located there. We are currently recruiting potential members and volunteers for both new branches. Anyone committed to Dhamma practice, and passionate about Buddhist education based on the Pāli tradition, may apply to join the Society.
All Nalandians (members + volunteers) adhere to the “Eight Core Values” of Compassion, Courage, Respect, Integrity, Service, Faith, Learning, and Reflection.
We also strive to attain balance and happiness in our lives, as well as to help others achieve greater joy and success in their lives, by realizing the “Six Well-beings” – physical, mental, family, career, interpersonal, and spiritual well-being.
Svagatam – welcome to the movement!
