Today marks the 61st anniversary of the formation of ‘Malaysia’ – a federation of 13 states spanning the Malay Peninsula, Sarawak, and Sabah. To commemorate this occasion, over 80 youths at the Dhamma-living Camp raised the ‘Jalur Gemilang’ early this morning reflecting on how our part in nation-building is first through our own character-building by inculcating gratitude, compassion and peace within.
It is in fact the duty of every Malaysian to uphold mutual respect, understanding and acceptance so that peace and harmony prevails in Malaysia, unique melting pot of culture and ethnicism. We wish all Malaysians a joyful celebration of nationhood. “Dirgahayu Malaysia”!
