Hosting Indonesian monastic entourage

From 6 to 9 December, Nalanda hosted a monastic entourage from Indonesia as part of a larger group who stayed in Nalanda Centre for an Asubha workshop organised by the Academy of Silent Mentor and Sāsanārakkha Buddhist Sanctuary. The entourage was led by Ven. Ālokavaṃsa Thera and included 5 other bhikkhus (monks), 2 sameneras (novice monks), and 6 sayalays (10-preceptor nuns).

After the larger group had returned to their respective monasteries, Nalanda continued to host the Indonesian entourage for dāna, a tour of Nalanda Centre, as well as bringing them to visit Dhamma Earth Kuala Lumpur, Semenyih and Dhammavijaya Meditation Centre, Dengkil. Before sending the group off to catch their respective flights, Nalanda members and volunteers also formally asked for forgiveness for any wrong-doings that may have been done intentionally or unintentionally.

We thank Ven. Ālokavaṃsa Thera and the other monastics for giving Nalanda this opportunity to host and serve Sangha members. We wish them the best conditions for their spiritual cultivation.
