10 July marks the beginning of Ramadhan, and the start of month-long fasting for all Muslims. Fasting during Ramadhan is intended to cultivate sensual restraint, reflection, discipline, and wholesomeness. With this cultivation, the minds of sincere practitioners will experience greater tranquility and peace.
Nalanda Buddhist Society wishes our Muslim brothers and sisters, “Selamat Menyambut Ramadhan ” and “Selamat Berpuasa “. We also invite Nalandians to observe a day of fasting on the first day of Ramadhan, in solidarity with our spiritual brethren. Let us together aspire for tranquility in our hearts, and true peace in the world.
May all beings be well, Salam metta !
