Pindacāra at Seri Kembangan Market

The venerable monks receiving offerings from the public in Seri Kembangan.

On Saturday 21 December, Nalanda volunteers and devotees participated in our monthly Pindacāra (monks going on alms-round) at the Jalan Besar morning market in Seri Kembangan. Three venerable monks accepted our invitation to go on alms-round for this last scheduled Pindacāra for 2013.

The Pindacāra programme began with Pūja and chanting at 7.30am, at Nalanda Centre Sri Serdang before proceeding towards the morning market.  Both young and elderly devotees gladly took the opportunity to perform meritorious deed of offering food to the venerables.  A blessing service was conducted after the alms-round at the car park.

After ten sessions of Pindacāra in Seri Kembangan since May 2013, we rejoice over the increasing awareness among the public on the correct ways to support members of the Sangha.

We wish to thank all our supportive volunteers, devotees and the public for your continuous support and participation in this joyous programme.  We look forward to seeing you in our Pindacāra in 2014.  Sadhu anumodana!
