On Wednesday 8 January, Nalanda Centre received a special visit by the Honorable Member of Parliament for Serdang, Yang Berhormat Dr. Ong Kian Ming.

Upon arrival, Y.B. Dr. Ong was welcomed by Nalanda President Bro. Lee Kong Foo, officers Sis. Evelyn Chow, Bro. Charlie Teng, and Sis. Rachel Ng.  He was accompanied by Nalandian officers for a tour of Nalanda Centre.  Y.B. Dr. Ong later had a meeting with Founder Bro. Tan, where they exchanged thoughts on social and educational issues.

Yang Berhormat Dr. Ong praised Nalanda’s effort in promoting holistic education through its many outreach services.  He was particularly impressed with Nalanda’s ability to attract many local students and youthful volunteers.  The Honorable Member of Parliament for Serdang and his assistant Mr. Khoo Khim Han were later given a preview of Nalanda Youth Centre which is still under renovation.
