On Saturday 21 December, the community at Seri Kembangan came together for the final Pindacāra of the year. It provided a golden opportunity for everyone to perform wholesome deeds and cultivate generosity to end the year in a fruitful and meaningful way. The joy and spirit of giving were evident in the members of the public who enthusiastically came forward to make offerings abundantly.

The group then adjourned to Nalanda Centre to offer lunch dāna to Venerable Sirs. In his sharing, Ven. Piyananda expressed his honour in participating in this programme as it is a 2,600-year tradition inherited from the Buddha, himself. He also explained the importance of dāna and reassured everyone that attaining nibbāna is possible through continuous Dhamma practice.

During the reflection session, President Sis. Buddhinī Tan highlighted the importance of consistent service and continuously encouraging the community to partake in this wholesome programme. The volunteers also shared how they developed a heightened sense of awareness of their role and their surroundings due to the need to stay observant and focussed in the present moment while unpredictable conditions unfold.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the venerable sirs, the Pindacāra team and volunteers, as well as the community for supporting this wholesome programme throughout the year. We look forward to seeing you for the first Pindācara of next year which will take place on 4 January 2025 at Taman OUG & Happy Garden markets.
