Sis. Siew Chin spoke on the virtues of the Buddha.

On 26 September, Nalanda Sungai Petani members congregated to celebrate Members’ Day.  During the Dhamma sharing session, Sis. Siew Chin spoke on the virtues of the Buddha.  She said when we recite Buddhanusati, the recollection of the Buddha, we are reminding ourselves of the sublime qualities of the Buddha, which help us to strengthen our faith and respect towards the Teacher.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ng, who recently went to Borobudur on a study tour led by Bro. Tan, was grateful for the opportunity to join seven Sungai Petani members as well as other Nalandians on the trip. He regaled the audience with personal accounts of a most memorable learning experience.

Branch Chairman Bro. Seng Giap updated the members on the progress of NEO Centre under construction.  He was pleased to report that progress was moving along smoothly.  The building is expected to complete by the end of December.  We thank the members for their participation, and hope to see everyone at the upcoming ‘Dhamma Retreat with Bro.Tan’ on 31 October.
