On Saturday 15 April, Nalandians again organised the monthly ‘Pindacāra’ programme at the Jalan Besar market in Seri Kembangan to educate the public on proper ways to support the Buddhist monastic order.

Since the programme started in Seri Kembangan in 2014, we have seen much more awareness in the community on proper Buddhist practice.  The public are able to distinguish between genuine monks and shams, as well as taking greater interests in learning about Buddhism.

Nalandian volunteers also engage with the local community in order to introduce proper Buddhist practice and teachings.

As a result of such positive response, Nalanda is planning to expand the programme to cover neighbouring housing estates so that more people will come in contact with real monks and Dhamma teachings.

The next educational alms-round will be held this Saturday, 20 May, at Seri Kembangan market, starting at 8.30am.  We invite everyone to participate by offering cooked vegetarian food or ripe fruits to the venerable monks.  You may also volunteer to help during the ‘Pindacāra’ by contacting Bro. Vincent Lee at 012-211 3907.  Thank you.

We invite you to participate or volunteer your service.
