On Saturday 1 March, the Nalanda Fellowship Undergraduate Network (F.U.N.) concluded its third workshop on the “Art of Public Speaking” series, conducted by Achariya Vijaya Samarawickrama (or ‘Uncle Vijaya’ to us). During this final session, participants were required to present stories from the Jataka, and also on an impromptu topic.
“Great speakers aren’t born; they’re trained,” said Uncle Vijaya. Thus, anyone can be a great speaker if he or she is willing to put in the right effort. It has been a great journey for the participants as well as the organisers in this series of workshop. We look forward to seeing you on 29 March for our upcoming trip to KLPAC for another ‘FUN’ learning experience!
