The monthly Pindacāra Programme at Taman O.U.G. and Happy Garden morning markets was joyfully undertaken on 2 November with the most Venerable B. Sri Saranankara Nayaka Thero leading three other monks on the alms-round.  Monthly Pindacāra there has been running continuously for 18 months and it has attracted a loyal and devoted crowd of supporters, besides inspiring more new donors every time.  Young and old, market-goers and stall operators alike, everyone feels the joy of giving alms to passing monks. 

The elderly are particularly joyful in seeing monks on alms-round and cherish the opportunity to offer food.

After the alms-round in Taman O.U.G., the venerables continued their walk in neighbouring Happy Garden.  Thereafter, the Sangha members and devotees returned to NEO Centre in Taman Gembira for a Dhamma Talk by Bro. Ananda Fong, followed by Sanghika Dāna.

The next Pindacāra will be held on Saturday, 16 November at the Seri Kembangan Jalan Besar morning market.  We thank all Nalanda co-ordinators and volunteers for your wonderful efforts for the past 18 months.  May we continue our community service with deeper inspiration and greater fervor!  Sadhu anumodana!
