According to Theravada tradition, Asalha (month) Full-moon Day marks the anniversaries of the Bodhisatta’s Conception, His Great Renunciation, and the Buddha’s preaching of the first sermon – the ‘Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta’ (Discourse on ‘Turning the Wheel of Dhamma’).
Join us at Nalanda Centre on Friday 11 July, at 8.00pm, for the ‘Dhammacakka Day’ Uposatha pūja. Enjoy a peaceful evening in the company of spiritual friends with chanting, meditation, and a Dhamma talk by Bro. Ananda Fong.
On 13 July ‘Dhamma Day’, there will be chanting, meditation, and Dhamma teaching by Bro. H S Tan. Following that, there will be a Sanghika Dāna (offering of lunch) to venerable monks. Devotees may bring along cooked vegetarian food as offerings.
We look forward to seeing you at Nalanda Centre for this weekend’s meaningful and holistic ‘Dhamma Day’ Observance. Svagatam, all are welcome!
