The much-anticipated ‘Nalanda Family Fun Fair’ on 9 August is just 2 weeks away! There will be more than 120 stalls offering a wide variety of food, beverages, household items, clothes, handicraft and merchandise for sale. The ‘Fun Fair’ aims to raise funds to finance many community-based educational programmes run by Nalanda Institute, Dhamma School, Free School, the Library, and Youth Centre. It is the only fund-raising event for Nalanda Sri Serdang this year.

Fong briefed the team on the progress of construction work, which began in April and is currently 42% completed.

Buddhini gave a Dhamma sharing on “The Two Kinds of Thoughts” quoting ‘Majjhima Nikāya’ (MN.19) – “Dvedhavitakka Sutta”. She concluded the sharing by emphasising an instruction from the Buddha to monks – “meditate, bhikkhus, do not delay or else you will regret it later”. Saturday, 4 July marked the commencement of BPS 303 – Certificate in Buddhist Studies, offered by Nalanda Institute’s Department of Buddhist & Pāli Studies. The first session was well-attended by participants from Sri Serdang, as well as from Kelantan via live telecast.
