The team gathers all divisional and departmental heads of Nalanda Institute, Dharma School, Free School, Pustaka Nalanda, and Youth Centre – those involved directly with Nalanda’s educational programmes – in one committee to discuss pertinent issues involving the implementation of our Educational Philosophy.
Read moreOn Saturday 16 August, 220 students from five secondary schools in Seri Kembangan and Kajang attended an informative and inspiring SPM Chemistry Examination Preparation Seminar at SMK Seri Kembangan. The full-day seminar was jointly organised by Nalanda Free School and SMK Seri Kembangan to equip students with a more thorough understanding of the subject, in preparation for their upcoming SPM examination.
Read moreOver the past few weekends, many Nalanda Dharma School students stayed over at Nalanda Centre to assist in the upcoming ‘FAMILY FUN FAIR’ preparations. Our cheerful students also helped to tidy up the Centre to welcome thousands of visitors anticipated during the Fun Fair. Last weekend, it was Garuda House members’ turn to stay over. Read moreOn Sunday 3 August, 42 members from Shah Alam Buddhist Society (SABS) and its Dhamma School made a half-day visit to Nalanda Centre. They were warmly welcomed by Nalandians, and joyfully participated in our Service Sunday with a talk by Dr. Phang Cheng Kar. At the same time, the SABS Dhamma School students joined Nalandian teenagers for group activities organised by Nalanda Dharma School (NDS).

The talk attracted a large crowd as the practice of meditation, with scientifically-proven benefits, is becoming more popular worldwide. We perform exercises to achieve physical well-being; but the key to attain mental well-being is through meditation.

We were honoured by the presence of two senior venerables from Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple Sentul, to participate in this alms-round.
