Since the early hours of this morning, Nalanda members, volunteers and students have been actively engaged in several Dhamma and educational programmes as well as selfless service. This study trip forms part of their curriculum, to gain better understanding and insight into the arrival of Buddhism in Malaysia some 2,000 years ago. Nalanda undertook this important project in partnership with several Buddhist organisations in India as part of our long-term vision to propagate Buddha-Dhamma in its land of origin, and to revitalize the proper learning and practice of Buddhism there.

Over these two days, the group explored various aspects important to their roles including the Society's Code of Conduct, ways to manage challenges and resolving issues in leading teams, and the importance of continuous learning.

Sri Saranankara Nāyaka Thero on the occasion of his 70th birthday at the Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple in Sentul. Joining over 200 members of the Buddhist community in the offering of lunch dāna, the congregation joyfully celebrated his reverence’s birthday and expressed their appreciation to him, having benefitted from his service of four decades.
