It has been quite hot these two months in Kedah. But the hot and dry weather has brought tecoma trees (tabebuia rosea) planted along roads in Alor Setar into lovely bloom of pink and white flowers!
About 600 tecoma trees were planted in and around the city, and they come into blossom every April, adding colour and vibrance to their surroundings. However, as all things, the tecoma flowers only last a short while, and soon succumb to the universal law of ‘Anicca’ (impermanence). So, folks in Alor Setar, enjoy the natural wonder while it last!
