Bountiful joy & gratitude at tea-ceremony

A joyful tea-ceremony thanks to Nalanda Dhamma School!

Nalanda Dhamma School marked the start of their 2024 year with a tea-ceremony on Sunday, 25 February.  The day started with communal chanting before forming individual learning groups – Bro. Tan Siang Chye delivered a talk on parenting based on the Buddha’s teachings, Bro. Disheng delivered a talk to the Youths on the duties of a child to their parents, while the Dhamma School conducted their sessions with the teenage and junior students.

Everyone later convened for the tea-ceremony.  It was an occasion filled with joy as children shared simple moments with their parents by offering tea and paying their respects.  They also presented hand-made gifts with personal messages to their parents.  A video sharing and sketch presentation further deepened the message of gratitude in the congregation.  By cultivating gratitude, a family can be a great source of solace, joy and unity which forms the bedrock of a harmonious society.
