BPS 204 participants deepen their understanding

Bro. Ooi Boon Keat conducts the first two lectures.

For the last two Saturdays from 29 July, over 80 participants have been gathering at Nalanda Education & Outreach (NEO) Centres in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Sungai Petani to continue their learning in BPS 204 Intermediate-level Buddhist Studies in Mandarin.  The course is the first-ever conducted by Nalanda Institute.

The lectures which are held in NEO KL are streamed live to the other Centres where facilitators support the ensuing discussions and reflections.  Bro. Ooi Boon Keat provided participants with a deeper understand and appreciation of the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha.  He also helped the group relate them to their daily lives and their spiritual path.  We rejoice in the learning spirit of BPS 204 participants and wish them fruitful learning in the upcoming sessions.  Sadhu anumodana!

Sis. Sandy Lim gives an introductory briefing on the new course – it is the first intermediate-level course conducted in Mandarin by Nalanda Institute.

Group discussions allow participants to process what they have learnt and relate their understanding to their spiritual practice.

Participants in Nalanda Johor Bahru & Sungai Petani Branches join the course through live-streaming while local facilitators support the discussions.
