Buddha Day preparations have started

With the teamwork of our volunteers, Nalanda Centre’s facade is now decked.

Namo Buddhaya!  On the Vesakhā full-moon every year, Buddhists worldwide gather to commemorate the anniversary of Buddha’s Enlightenment.  At Nalanda, we are observing this year’s ‘Buddha Day’ from Wednesday 3 May to Sunday 7 May with meaningful educational and spiritual programmes comprising Dhamma talks, meditation, sutta study and special exhibitions.

This year, we are happy to announce the recommence of the iconic ‘Heritage Procession’  – a truly unique cultural experience.  There will also be a special documentary-film screening, alms-giving to monks, blood donation drive and guided tours of the Centre.

Members and devotees have already started to prepare the programmes and Nalanda Centre for this auspicious occasion.  We joyfully invite you and your loved ones to mark the dates and join us to experience a meaningful celebration.

It takes much patience and cooperation to prepare these large pieces of cloth.
