Buddhist Groups visit Nalanda Centre

The President of Shah Alam Buddhist Society Dato' Vincent Lim, exchanging souvenirs with Nalanda President Bro. Lee Kong Foo, on Saturday 18 May.

Over the weekend, Nalanda Centre received three official delegations from local Buddhist Societies in Selangor – the Tiratana Buddhist Society Klang, Shah Alam Buddhist Society, and Putra Heights Buddhist Society.  The purpose of these visits was to understand Nalanda’s set-up, especially our educational philosophy and programmes.  The visitors were very keen to learn about Nalanda’s success in attracting and retaining the participation of Buddhist youths.

Bro. Cheah and Bro. Lim from Tiratana Buddhist Society meeting with Nalanda's key officers, and with our Founder Bro. Tan during their study-visit.

The visitors were met by Nalanda President Bro. Lee Kong Foo and Secretary Sis. Buddhini.  They also took the opportunity to meet with Founder Bro. Tan to gather his ideas and insights.  Such learning visits augur well for the unity and development of the Buddhist community in Malaysia, and are most welcome by Nalanda.  Svagatam!

The President and Committee Members of Putra Heights Buddhist Society also made a study-visit to Nalanda on 18 May.
